Twitter Monitoring Tips Revealed…

without comments

Let me share how I use twitter to monitor the conversation on a particular subject.

One of the companies I work with is in the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) business of creating systems for hospitals to monitor their inventory. Their system is used primarily in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab to track expensive items used in many of the procedures.

In the past over 50% of their business contacts came from referrals from competitors or others in the RFID Industry. So it is important to expand those contacts.

By monitoring any Twitter conversations regarding RFID, I can view the twitter profile with the most pertinent information and follow them.

When that person generates a good link about RFID or aligned technologies, I will RT (retweet) the message. This way I help promote the message content and create a cooperative mindset with the person or company sending out that kind of information.

I believe there is plenty of business to go around …. (competitors do not frighten me) so I’m glad to share what others think is important and retweet.

If that person follows me back, then we begin a connection.

To enhance that connection more, I search out their name on the Linkedin website and ask them to add me to their network.

To me this is an ideal way to find new people to connect with…. and perhaps we can share referrals whenever necessary.
